Prayer Allows God to Work in You

Focus Verse: "Call unto me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things which you know not" (Jeremiah 33:3 NKJ).
What are your needs today? At times it seems that challenges and needs are pressing against us from every side. But we  have a heavenly Father who provides for all of my needs.
In the verse, our Father gives an invitation that has two assurances. Call on me when you need help, and I will to answer your call,  and I respond in a way that is greater than you'can ever imagine.
Today,  take the step of faith, and call on your faithful Father in times of need. He is there ready to listen and respond to your call. Through prayer you will learn that:
  • God is transforming you first of all. He wants your life to reflect his glory and that you walk in your identity in Jesus Christ..
  • He is interested in changing your situation to line up with his plan and purpose for your life.
  • As your change from the inside you will find that your circumstances will change. Because you are being change you begin to see things differently, through the eyes of how God sees things.
  • Change from the heart means letting go of offenses and negative emotions that could hinder you from being sensitive to God's voice and moving in his purpose for your life.

Focus Question: In the video above, the Hillsong choir sings "Lord I Offer My life to You." How will you offer your life to God and give him all your cares today?
Prayer: "Heavenly Father, thank you for your faithfulness to me. Father, today I struggle with the problems of _________________, but I surrender my life to you, I cast all my cares on you, and I receive your loving answer by faith. Amen."
