Experience the Power of Encouraging Others

There are many demands on our time, and we sometimes find it challenging to reach to others as we would like to. But we should meet together as believers, and encourage and support each other.

We can support each other in simple ways, so we don't have to wait until we have a lot of time or resources to do the big things. Small acts of kindness, support, and encouragement can have deep, positive cumulative effect on a brother or sister's life.

People need to know you care, they need your support and a sense of belonging. The Holy Spirit sometimes brings a specific person to our minds. I find that responding to this gentle nudge can be a blessing to others.

Over the years, several people have told me how blessed they were when I called and gave a word of encouragement or prayed with them. Sometimes unknowingly I called at a critical time, and this gave them a sense of God's care because he knew their needs and placed them on my heart.

Watch the YouTube video below, as Professor Michael Zigarelli explains that encouragement is like a glass of water to a person in the desert. Affirmation a form of love and we should make it a habit. Start the habit today!

We are God's hands and heart extended in this world, so let open up our hearts and allow him to flow through us with the encouragement and comfort for our brothers and sisters in need. God is able to far more than we imagine through his power that works through us (Ephesians 3:20).

Focus Verse"Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing" (1 Thessalonians 5:11).

Focus Question: What steps will you take to be more sensitive and responsive to the needs of other believers and people in general?

Let us Pray: Father God, thank you for the opportunity to reach to my brothers and sisters, and to encourage and support them, for generously I received from you, freely I give to them. Give me the heart to serve others. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen
