Give God Your Mistakes and Receive His love

I remember when I was much younger, my pastor saying to me, "When you fail him, run to him." That was many years ago but the instruction still rings true. When we fail God,  make mistakes, fall short of God's glory (whatever the term we use) we need to run to God instead of yielding to our natural tendency to run from him.

He is our loving Father who wants to meet us at the point of our need, that is, our need for his love and forgiveness. Don't run away from God!

Like all us, you sometimes come short and miss the mark in your walk as a Christian. This is not the time to take heed to the accuser of the brethren, Satan. Instead, respond to your Father's call to repentance, for he is waiting for come back home.
Repentance is taking a right about turn; it is turning to God. Take the first step and move from fear and condemnation to forgiveness, love, and a renewed relationship with your Father. The fact is, his perfect love for you will drive out all your fears.
You learn from your past experiences and move forward. The Bible invites you to forget the former things, for God is doing a new thing in your life. He has new opportunities and blessings ahead for you.

Focus Verse: "But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness" (John 1:9, NLT).

Let us Pray: Father God, thank you that I can come boldly to your throne of grace and receive your mercy.Thank you for your forgiveness and cleansing power in my life. I let go of everything that would separate me from you or hold me back. Thank you for your love that is enfolding me now. In Jesus' Name I pray. Amen."
